Gifts for Kids at the Gate

A wonderful December outreach! We thank those who make this a blessing year after year.

Every Christmas, as God’s family, we are called upon to remember those less fortunate than ourselves. Over the past years, The Highlands Christian Jail Ministry team has been distributing Christmas gifts to the families of incarcerated men and women. This act of kindness is made possible by the generous donations of our church families and friends. We are once again calling upon you for help. We will be distributing gifts on (December 20, 2008) the Saturday before Christmas at the gate of the local jail facility. For some of these children and young adults, THESE WILL BE THE ONLY GIFTS THEY RECEIVE. If you care to participate in this loving act of generosity and gift giving, please follow the simple instructions outlined below:

Each gift should be clearly marked with gender - Male or Female
Each gift should be clearly marked with age group - Ages 2 to15+
Gifts must be wrapped and tagged with the above information

Gifts must be age-appropriate. Some suggestions that might be of help: toys and games, stuffed animals, Christian reading materials, Bibles, puzzles, educational items, school supplies, or arts & crafts items. We will not be accepting any CASH donations. Should the Lord place it on your heart to make financial contributions, checks will be accepted. Please make your check payable to Church of the Highlands Jail Ministry. Your canceled check will be your receipt. All gifts must be received NO LATER THAN December 19, 2008. There will be a large decorated box in the mall to receive your gift. Be sure to secure each tag on its package.
