Choir

The Choirs are under the direction of Pastor Dave Hooper. Here at Church of the Highlands our dynamic worship and music ministry provides numerous opportunities to serve our Lord. We are always delighted to welcome individuals of all ages. 

Celebration Singers --
Membership in the Celebration Singers is by assessment to anyone of high school age or above who desires to use their voice in praise and worship of God. This group leads in weekly worship services and performs major concerts and musicals from September through mid July. The variety of musical style is broad, encompassing classical, gospel, spirituals, country-western, and contemporary. Choral tone, musicianship training, and worship leadership is included as part of the Choir's weekly (Tuesday evening) training. Previous choral experience and sight reading ability, although not required, are very helpful.

If you would like to audition for this group, please contact Mary in the month of July to set up your assessment appointment for August. If God has given you the ability to sing, and you feel He is calling you to use your voice in ministry, this is the time to call.

Mass Choir --
We are blessed at Church of the Highlands to have 3 mass choirs:

Mass Choir (men and women)	Women of Faith (women)	Voices of Promise (men)

These groups lead the Sunday morning worship at the 8:30, 10:00, and 11:30 services several times a year and are open to all who desire to use their voice in praise and worship of God. No assessment is required. The musical style is upbeat with an emphasis on music that is easily accessible to all musical skill levels. Rehearsal takes place in the sanctuary on the Saturday morning preceding the Sunday they are scheduled to sing.
