Baptism
Water baptism should follow salvation. Baptism is an act of obedience, signifying one's dying to sin and rising to a new life in Jesus Christ. Baptism is a public profession of faith in Jesus Christ and identification with the church - the Body of Christ.
How old should a child be before being baptized? We do not have a set age for children’s baptisms. Children must, however, desire to be baptized and have a full understanding of what they are doing and why. For this reason, we do not baptize or christen infants. We do offer Baby Dedication which is the dedication of the parents to raising their child to know Jesus Christ and the introduction of the infant to our church family. See Baby Dedication.
Baptisms are scheduled in advance and take place during the 11:30 AM worship service on the 2nd Sunday of the month. We offer baptism classes to prepare candidates for their special day.
