Here at Church of the Highlands our dynamic worship and music ministry provides numerous opportunities to serve our Lord. We are always delighted to welcome individuals of all ages.

Celebration Singers Choir

Membership in the Celebration Singers is by assessment to anyone of high school age or above who desires to use their voice in praise and worship of God. This group leads in weekly worship services and performs major concerts and musicals from September through mid-July. The variety of musical styles is broad, encompassing classical, gospel, spirituals, country-western, and contemporary. Choral tone, musicianship training, and worship leadership is included as part of the Choir's weekly training.

If you would like to be considered for this choir, call Pastor David Hooper to set up your assessment. If God has given you the ability to sing, and you feel He is calling you to use your voice in ministry, this is the time to call.

Open Choirs

Voices of Promise (All Men's Choir - all men are invited)
Women of Praise (All Women's Choir - all women are invited)

These two groups lead the Sunday morning worship at the 8:30, 10:00, and 11:30 AM services a few times a year and are open to all who desire to use their voice in praise and worship of God. No assessment is required. The musical style is upbeat with an emphasis on music that is easily accessible to all musical skill levels.

Children's Spirit and Truth Choir

Worship and the knowledge of music are vital parts of a child's spiritual growth. The Children's Choir program meets with an excellent staff of qualified leaders committed to teaching children spiritual concepts while experiencing and learning about music. In addition to singing once a month for Sunday worship services, the Children's Choir presents occasional specials for the evening service and performs as part of the major concerts and musicals presented throughout the year.

Children ages 5 and up who love to sing are invited to join the Spirit and Truth Choir. Weekly rehearsals are held on Sunday mornings (September through May) at 11:30 AM in Room 113.

Orchestra

Instrumental praise is a very important part of the worship life at Church of the Highlands, adding vibrancy to the worship services and special productions. The Orchestra plays for most Sunday morning worship services and they minister as part of our major concerts and musicals presented throughout the year.

Orchestra is open by assessment only. We welcome skilled instrumentalists of all types including string, woodwind, piano, percussion, rhythm (electric guitar, bass, drums), and synthesizer.
