Parenting Classes
Growing Families International parenting series is building relationships
that last a lifetime. Presented by Church of the Highlands, this ministry is
here to bring hope and confidence to a new parenting generation.
ABOUT THE AUTHORS -- Gary & Anne Marie Ezzo
Gary Ezzo is a graduate of Talbot Seminary and school of Theology and is
currently the Executive Director of Growing Families International.
Anne Marie Ezzo is a registered nurse with a background in pediatric nursing
and is currently a child-birth instructor. Together the Ezzo's have
developed and authored parenting curricula used around the world.
Today, thousands of parents each week attend classes both here and
abroad. The reason - The material is practical, the principles work,
and the steps for success are clearly marked. The Ezzo's live in
Chatsworth California where they enjoy their children and grandchildren.
The core curriculum lays the groundwork for your parenting no matter where
you are in the process. Preparation for Parenting and the Toddler Years
Birth to 15 months -- This class will add a new dimension to your
baby's day. It will establish the right learning patterns.
Training a pre-toddler will assist in the development of three
life-serving skills: sitting, focusing, and concentrating.
Growing Kids God's Way
15 months to pre-teen -- This class will teach you how
to raise a morally responsible child, build moral character, discipline
by encouragement, build trust in family relationships, and how to make
the teen years great.
Preparation for Adolescence
8 to 12 years old -- This class is the logical extension
of Growing Kids Gods Way and is offered to those parents who have
completed this first class. The class will prepare you for the
middle years. It includes understanding moral maturity, how to
encourage, seven warning flags, and courtship and dating.
Reaching the Heart of Your Teen
12 to 19 years old -- The topics included in this class
are: a healthy family profile, parenting and outcomes, theories on
rebellion, getting to the heart of the problem, principles of moral
development, courtship and dating, and preparation for marriage.
These classes are offered on WEDNESDAY EVENINGS at the
church. Child care is provided.
