citizenship

abroad
- Physical Excellence - that each student would develop a lifestyle of proper nutrition and
fitness
- Social Excellence - that each student would live in love, enacting biblical change for the sake of God in society, community and
home
|
| Mission Statement |
"Our mission is to
enhance each student's personal, purposeful, and process
development."
- Personal Development - that each student would be blessed
with a saving relationship with Jesus
Christ, and according to Jesus' exemplary precedent would increase
"in wisdom and
stature, and in favor with God and man" (Luke 2:52)
- Purposeful Development - that each student would recognize
and embrace his/her unique gifts and God-ordained purpose in life (Psalm 139:13-16)
- Process Development - that Highlands Christian Schools would
enrich the pedagogy initiated in the home, fulfilling the Biblical
precept to "train up a child in the way he should go"
(Proverbs 22:6)
|
| Core Value Statement |
Our core value is to
glorify God, enabling each child to "increased in wisdom and stature,
in favor with God and man" (Luke 2:52).
GLORIFY GOD - that each student would epitomize, "whatever
you do, do it all for the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31)
WISDOM (Intellectual) - that each student would develop the intellect and talents to
understand God's Word and world, mastering and applying abilities and
skills to thrive as a competent, compassionate, creative and productive
member of society
STATURE (Physical)- that each student would nurture, cultivate,
and discipline his/her body as the intended temple of the Holy Spirit and
the God-ordained vessel of love, character and personality
FAVOR WITH GOD (Spiritual)- that each student would respond
profoundly to God's love, calling upon Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12) and living
in obedience to God's Word
FAVOR WITH MAN (Social)- that each student would manifest the
fruits of the Spirit in increasing measure (Galatians 5:22-23),
recognizing the worth of each of God's creatures and establishing a
biblical lifestyle distinguished by discipline and responsibility
